Whether your wedding is a big affair in a large venue, or your closest friends and family in a backyard, most couples still want that touch of floral for their day. The following wedding was a small intimate wedding that I created the personal florals in summer 2021. This small set was an amazing mix of some colours, textures and blooms and I loved creating it.
Inspiration
Some couples have pictured their wedding flowers from a very young age, while others have no idea where to begin. I always suggest researching and searching for some images to see what jumps out to you. You could find a singular flower you love, a style or even something as simple as a colour scheme. From there we can formulate and create your ideal floral pieces. I will say that, like most creative professionals, I will not replicate a bouquet exactly. I will however, take elements of a piece, and change them slightly to capture the essence of why the person loves it. With this approach every design will be one of a kind and truly unique to you.
This particular bride had an image of a bridal bouquet she had found online (image seen here) and we took the colour story of blush/soft pink, light periwinkle blue, cream and grey tones, along with some of the flower types to create her vision. This gives the freedom I need to seek our florals and find my own inspiration to become creative.
Finished Florals
As you can see in the following images below, the couple only needed the bridal bouquet, boutonnieres for the groom and their son, as well as a floral headpiece. The following are the images of the beautiful wedding with the finished product. And as I always say with artificial florals, in images from your big day, almost no one can tell they are faux. Using the soft colour pallet in mind I was able to find flowers that weren't necessarily in the inspiration image, but followed the style and created the vision the bride was after. The flower crown headpiece incorporated some of the same tones and included some softer greens and textural elements necessary for that style of work. The boutonnieres can sometimes be overlooked, but I actually enjoy working on them and always find ways to tie them stylistically back to the bridal bouquet. I am beyond thrilled with how this set turned out, and in looking at the images, find that they add the perfect pastel touch. I also find that this set of wedding florals is a great example of my commitment to detail and that no matter the size of the order or amount of floral needed, I will put love and care into every piece you order from me.
Thank you Ashleigh for allowing me to help be a small part of your big day!
